Description Johan Vromans 2011-08-22 23:49:13 UTC
Once every week, SBS switches to a new logfile by renaming the current logfile. However, after the rename a new logfile is created but all logging information is still written to the old logfile.

Example:
  -rw-r--r-- 1 squeezeboxserver squeezeboxserver 0 Aug 14 04:00 server.log
  -rw-r--r-- 1 squeezeboxserver squeezeboxserver 29492 Jul 27 17:08 server.log-20110724
  -rw-r--r-- 1 squeezeboxserver squeezeboxserver 62937 Aug 2 21:27 server.log-20110731
  -rw-r--r-- 1 squeezeboxserver squeezeboxserver 17337413 Aug 8 08:15 server.log-20110807
  -rw-r--r-- 1 squeezeboxserver squeezeboxserver 44291013 Aug 23 08:44 server.log-20110814

A new logfile was created Aug 14, but it is still empty. The previous logfile server.log-20110814 is still being written as can be seen from its timestamp.

I'm running SBS 7.6.1 - r33011 on Fedora 14.
