After aborting an initial scan during the discovery phase (i.e. nothing has yet been stored in the db), the "Artists", "Albums", "Genres", "Years" and "New Music" functions on the home page display "Empty".

The Random Mix plugin shows no genres, but still presents the usual "Song", "Artists", "Albums" and "Years" options. Clicking one of these appears to do nothing, but logs:
