I am just testing the picture scanning with Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.0 - r33071 on MacOS X 10.6.8. I first selected my Mac's Pictures folder but to no avail. It does not seem to work well with my Aperture Photo Library as it finds no photos. Also there is not progress information in the web-ui settings/information tab.

I am currently scanning a folder containing 3052 files instead. It seems to work fine, but appears to be a rather sluggish affair (still no progress info though).

Andy - we need a mechanism to exclude folders or files by name. The Aperture library is a folder containing previews, links to original files etc. Plus it sometimes has files with media type extensions, but with invalid content. We don't want to scan this.
