Bugzilla – Bug 17424
Problems with SBS 7.6.x in Mac OS X 10. 7
Last modified: 2011-09-16 21:29:10 UTC
Created attachment 7384 [details] the discovering file process took very long time, the file numbers more than my music tracks which is around 12,000. Never finish discovering due to memory problem (Perl 5.12) With Mac OS X 10. 7 (Lion) and since SBS 7.6 is released, it took very long time to 'discover' files (see pictures below, scanner log, server log), also, its Perl 5.12 drained lots of memory (as high as 2.5 GB) until a pop-up window stated out of memory. I have tried numerous SBS 7.6.1 nightly build, the problem still persist. Please advise and hope the official SBS 7.6.1 will solve this problem.
Created attachment 7385 [details] scanner log - during discovering file process, there seems no activities, unlike previous SBS 7.5.5., I can see my music directory being discovered/scanned, I did not change the directory name.
Created attachment 7386 [details] Activity Monitor - Perl 5.12 drained lots of memory (more than 2GB) during the discovering process until it hang the OS with 'out of memory', that's serious threat and problem to look into SBS 7.6.
That's the "looping inside bootcamp" issue, right? Can you find out what file on your disk is referring to bootcamp?
Chris is no longer working for us.

But there's no bootcamp in my external hard disk where my music collections are stored. The bootcamp is located in internal hard disk and users/auronthas/desktop.
(In reply to comment #4) > Chris is no longer working for us. Oh i see.
