Bugzilla – Bug 17416
Tray app shutsdown when right clicked
Last modified: 2011-10-28 07:52:08 UTC
The tray app shutsdown when rightclicked. I happens on occations and so far I have seen no pattern. No information in log or eventviewer This also happend back in 7.5
In Windows this is usually an indication that the application was not running when you clicked it. The icon remains for some reason and only disappears when accessed. I've seen it a million times.

I've seen it a million times. That could be it... I will make a mental note of checking the running processes before clicking the tray app to see if that is it.
Jan - did you test this with 7.6.1 too? I happened to find an issue which could have caused this while renaming SBS to LMS for 7.7. But that would be fixed in 7.6.1.
I really don't use the tray app much except for an installation that I run on an XP desktop machine on my network. I was just commenting on the tray icon that disappears to when you click it.
I am sure that I have seen it once; but not sure which exact 7.6.1 build it was
And there it was again... well if have seen it several times since last. But this morning I booted my work laptop running latest 7.6.2. Checked taskmanager that TrayApp was running. Started server using TrayApp. When I then wanted to launch webinterface using TrayApp it disappeared. At home I have been running 7.7 for a while; I will update to 7.7 at work as well now that release is upon us
