I can confirm this.
I can also confirm this on Ubuntu Server 11.04. As far as I can make out, it will affect every user of the apt repositories on Debian based systems and so is quite serious. There is a post detailing the cause (and a generously donated workaround) on the Squeezebox forum: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88926 Essentially, it's because the slimdevices.com web server now redirects (HTTP 302) rather than reports (HTTP 404) not found files, which isn't compatible with apt. To fix, the web server needs to be reverted to previous behaviour or some sort of special rules need to be set up for debian.slimdevices.com. The rewrite rules Mas90 links to in the above post might form the basis of a permanent solution.
Matt is no longer working here.
This bug has remained unconfirmed since being raised and as of today has become unassigned (as the original assignee has left the organisation). However, it looks to me as if someone has fixed it as I no longer have this problem when updating from either of the two Ubuntu server installations I use. It would be good to get feedback from other Debian users, but I expect it should be closed.
