For some time now perl 5.14 is out. Quite a number of applications (munin to name one) require perl 5.14 to run. 

Is there a scheduled time when SBS 7.6 will be perl 5.14 compatible?

When a major Perl distribution begins shipping with Perl 5.14, that's when. Let me know when this happens.

Archlinux, ( quit a major distribution ) has been shipping perl 5.14 for some time now.

It would be interesting if someone made a matrix of default Perl versions on the latest distros listed here: http://distrowatch.com/dwres.php?resource=major

Everyone who is affected by this problem or see this comment, please make sure the information on the above wiki page contains a row for the system you are using and make sure the correct perl version is specified.

I see that the Perl libs in the 7.7 branch are being updated for Perl 5.14. Can you update buildme.sh script to support Perl 5.14 as well?

Also an chance of updating buildme.sh and the perl libs in the 7.6 branch? I would like to get SqueezeBox Server 7.6.1 working under Perl 5.14.1
