Description of Setup:

Squeezebox Touch using Optical out to Musical Fidelity External DAC, then Analog to Stereo
Assorted Music Files on USB HDD connected directly to the Touch

Symptoms:

Random songs will play at slow tempo and pitch, confirmed with Stopwatch. Length of song appears to be longer than when played on iTunes, and pitch is lower.

What is the encoding (CODEC) used: FLAC, MP3, ...? What are the PCM characteristics (sample rate, sample size)?
