Description djbloc 2011-07-02 06:47:14 UTC
Squeezebox Server 7.6.0 r31707 OS: Debian - EN- utf8 Platofrm: i686-linux
Using Squeezebox Duet and Squeezebox App on Android (1.1.1/r8350)

Using the Squeezebox App, select My Apps > RadioTime

It immediately responds with:

Connection timed out
The connection to the server timed out. This can happen when there's a problem with your network, or if the server is overloaded. Try again.

On the server in the file /var/log/squeezeboxserver/server.log the following lines appear everytime I try to select the RadioTime app:

[11-07-02 14:42:04.9419] Slim::Web::JSONRPC::requestMethod (383) request not dispatchable!
[11-07-02 14:42:04.9526] Slim::Web::JSONRPC::requestMethod (383) request not dispatchable!

This is reproducible.

Please update to the 7.6.1 nightly build, then uninstall and re-install the app. The service has a new name. The fact that it's still showing up under it's old names tells me there's something wrong.

Any update?

Following an apt-get purge and manually deleting all squeezebox directories, I used the most recent 7.6.1 nightly that was available a few weeks back as requested. The file was squeezeboxserver_7.6.1~33002_all.deb.

The service name changed from RadioTime to TuneIn. Unfortunately, however, the same issues were being demonstrated. To re-cap:

WORKS

Using the web browser interface

DOESN'T WORK

Squeezebox App on Android (Immediately responds with Connection timed out message as above)
Squeezebox Duet Controller (After selecting TuneIn, the spinner starts and continues to spin indefinitely)

I removed r33002 and decided to try to install the formal release version of 7.6.1. I happy to report the RadioTime/TuneIn now works from all three interfaces:

Using the web browser interface
Squeezebox App on Android
Squeezebox Duet Controller

It would appear this problem relates only to nightly releases rather than a formal release?

I'm seeing the same problem using 7.6.2-33376. I can access TuneIn via the web interface, but it hangs using SqueezePlay or my SB Radio.

On Android, using the official app I immediately get the "timed out" message as reported. Using Squeeze Commander, I am able to access TuneIn with no problem.

Guess I will revert to the official 7.6.1 for now.
