Description Julius Dauz 2011-06-02 13:44:15 UTC
According to a customer in Europe, after 7.5.1 network connectivity has slowed down significantly for his SB3 and Transporter.

His experience with bufferring as well as running the network tests on the players themselves are his examples.

I will have the customer track and post his details here.

I am running 7.5.5 on xubuntu 10.10 and I have the same issue with my Transporter. I also tried with my Touch it does not work better.
While I am usually connected via a dedicated access point, I tried also with the transporter connected directly in ethernet on the same switch as the server. Even in that configuration, as soon as traffic goes beyond 1Mb/s (using the embedded network tests) it loses packets.

I wonder if this could be a result of switching to doing display scrolling on ip3k players rather than on the server? I don't recall exactly when that change was make.
