I have the following system setup:

Player Model: Squeezebox Touch
Firmware: 7.5.4-r9408
Player IP Address: 192.168.1.68
Player MAC Address: 00:04:20:22:2c:78
Wireless Signal Strength: 56%

Player Model: Squeezebox Classic
Firmware: 133
Player IP Address: 192.168.1.69
Player MAC Address: 00:04:20:07:8d:0f

I usually use these players synchronized. The Squeezebox Classic has recently begun to show the following message, and reboot itself:

"nb alloc failed in slimproto"

I think--but am not 100% sure--that this only begun happening since I installed SBS 7.5.4. It also seems to happen when playing FLACs rather than MP3s.

Does this indicate a hardware failure in the SBC, or is it "just" a software failure, potentially related to firmware 133?

It seems that this is a similar symptom as https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15143, but this seems to have been de-prioritised, in part because it related only to Win2003.

I am more than happy to provide debug or logging information, if you direct me to the correct file, and so on.
