Bugzilla – Bug 17255
Screensaver term(s) are being used in Now Playing?
Last modified: 2011-08-15 01:07:00 UTC
Squeezebox Touch 7.6.0-r9443 (beta) When stopped, the Touch Now Playing screen displays "Ved stopp", which means "When stopped" (literally "At stop") in Norwegian. It doesn't make sense. This has probably bleeded over from the screensaver settings, which has one set of prefs "when stopped" and another "when playing" (and a third "when off"). I believe the Norwegian version of this text should be changed to simply "Stoppet", which means "Stopped". The alternative approach is to differentiate between the text in the screensaver prefs and the text in the Now Playing screen. The screensaver text can be left alone, while the Now Playing text should be changed as mentioned. It's probably a good idea to check on the phrasings in Danish and Swedish too, as those are closely related languages. It is possible that the Radio and/or Controller also have this problem, but I haven't checked (yet).
I checked in major translation updates today, including your suggestion. Please update to r9450 or later. Thanks!
The forum post "unusual display on Touch?" seems to indicate that the same problem exists in English too. Perhaps it does affect all languages?
I'm running Touch fw 7.6.1-r9478. Seems like it's regressed.
