Description Michael 2005-06-27 15:41:03 UTC
Hi,
When I first got Squeezebox2 I was able to play DTS CDs without an
encoder. Now after upgrading the firmware to 6.1 for squeezebox network
using build Slimserver 2005-06-27, DTS CDs in iTunes just give a hiss
sound. DTS no longer works.

Going back to 6.0.3 (slimserver build 2005-05-24) and rebuilding the
Squeezebox2 firmware does not fix it.

Squeezebox2 NO LONGER has Internal support.
Any ideas?

Michael

What do you mean by 'internal support'?

The SB2 never technically supported it internally, but if you have raw dts wavs
we can pass them through spdif to be decoded by an external decoder...

If you're using the analog outputs, you will get a hiss.

Otherwise, what's the volume set to? If you have the volume set to <40 on the
player or <11 on the server the passthrough on the spdif outputs will be
modified and not work...

Confirmed that DTS passthrough works. We never did DTS decoding. My
understanding is that the bug reporter is good with it. :-)
