Description Ron Thigpen 2005-06-27 08:57:35 UTC
SB2 key input screen for WPA shared key only allows entry of approx. 24 chars.
(Don't know exact number OTTOMH.) The WPA-PSK spec calls for a max key length
of up to 64 chars. Many wireless access points will use keys up to 63 chars.
As there are now brute force cracking tools for WPA keys, I would like to be
able to use as long a key as possible.

This won't make it for 6.1.
Comment 2 Blackketter Dean 2005-07-03 12:37:38 UTC
The bottom line should scroll horizontally to allow input of all 63 characters. What exact problem are
you seeing?
Comment 3 Ron Thigpen 2005-08-01 12:29:05 UTC
Will retest if you like, but this is what I saw initially:

After entering approx. 24 chars, the next right arrow button press resulted in
the progression to the next screen, rather than any sort of rightward scroll
that would allow for more entry.
Comment 4 Blackketter Dean 2005-08-01 12:38:52 UTC
You shouldn't need to press the RIGHT arrow, just keep entering text, as you enter more, the beginning
should scroll off to the left of the screen. In the player in front of me, I'm able to enter the full 63
characters. Please retry and reopen the bug if it's still not working for you.
