Description Chris 2011-05-07 09:09:02 UTC
I am having a problem with one of three SB Receivers that I use - it won't connect to the network, either wired or wireless. When I reset the box by holding the button on the front until it flashes quickly the device appears in the list of players as "Squeezebox_000000" which doesn't seem right.

I've tried resetting the controller as well as the box several times but this does not help. I have checked the network cable is properly connected to the box.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Cheers,
Chris

I'm facing the same problem. Updated the firmware of the receiver, and everything works. But after power cycle it, it doesn't connect to the network anymore. It will show "Squeezebox_000000"...

I still haven't got any reply or resolution to this. I ended up buying a new SB Receiver because we needed it working where it was.

It would still be good if someone from Logitech could comment on this and offer some advice. I still have the dead box doing this behaviour.

could it be the receiver is suffering from bad firmware updating? Any idea how to re-install the firmware of the receiver?

I don't know if/how you force the receiver to do a hard reset beyond simply holding down the button on the front until the lights flash quickly. It's as if the box really needs to be completely wiped and reset - networking is just dead.

Chris, just to confirm with you, what are your receiver's led color?
Comment 6 Chris 2011-10-03 04:56:08 UTC
My receiver is flashing red every 1s.

If i do a reset by holding down the button on the front, it resets and is found as "Squeezebox_000000" from the remote, but trying both wireless and ethernet connection methods fail and just says that it could not connect.
