Description mathew.soon 2011-04-28 20:15:01 UTC
After upgrading to latest SBS 7.6 build 32366, I could not access it via http://<IP>:9000/

Version 7.5.5 has no issues at all.

I'm using Readynas Pro 4 (Intel version) and the latest firmware 4.2.16.

Rgds

Can you retry with build 32398? We are using build 32302 here and it works fine, but we have a Netgear duo (Spark). Will try to reproduce.

Hi, I've just tried the build 32416 ver 7.6 of SBS on my Pro 4 (Intel version) v 4.2.17 firmware.

It is still not working.
I've downgraded it to v7.5.5 for SBS.

Am able to reproduce on 7.6,(32429) X86 NAS FW 4.2.17. I can then load the 7.5.4 and am able to access the squeeze server just fine.

Yes I did, each and every time I install a new version.

7.5.5 works fine for me as well, but never for any of the 7.6 versions

Ok, next attempt to get some more interesting log output: please edit the squeezebox server init script in /etc/init.d. Modify the SLIMOPTIONS line to include d_startup

SLIMOPTIONS="--utf8 --d_startup"

Then try to restart everything.

Missing files copied from the general Debian package.

As reported in the Beta forum (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87919), the SQLite files are missing when installing the latest (SqueezeboxServer_7.6.0~32461-i386-readynas.bin) on a ReadyNas Ultra 6.

ssh into ReadyNas with root access.
cd /usr/share/squeezeboxserver
tar zxf /backup/missingSQLlite.tar.gz

There are also some mysql files in the same folders, but I don't think you need those anymore.

Bug: 17190
Description: don't exclude DBD from ReadyNAS/x86 build. MySQL didn't need it, but we now need it for SQLite (this is reverting a change to fix bug 13327)
Comment 16 Michael Herger 2011-05-24 21:40:26 UTC
Anders - thanks for your help. That missing file most likely was key to the failure. We didn't include the DBD modules, as with MySQL we needed to use the system's own versions (see old bug). Please give today's build (r32465 or later) another try.
