It would be nice to display the time of day somewhere on the now playing screen (Artwork and Text, Text only, ...)

Additionally, or alternatively, it would be nice to add the clock to Settings/Screen/Now Playing/Now Playing Views

Agreed on all counts. This isn't currently on the roadmap, but I'd like it considered, as it is on my wish list too.
