On 7.5.4.r9394 the menu item for turn on/off doesn't work or is very unstable. Sometimes I can turn the receiver off but not on and sometimes it won't work at all.

I have done some more testing. 
On the controller the text of the menu says Turn on <player name>. Choosing that menu turns on the player but the menu text doesn't change to Turn off <player name>. And if I choose it again to turn off the player nothing happens. 

This is done on SBS Version: 7.5.4 - r31987 and controller firmware 7.5.4-r9394.

For some reason the firmware in both my controllers downgraded to 7.5.3-r9377 today. That didn't make any difference.

Upgraded to 7.5.4 - r32171 which did the trick.

Glad to hear that-- just so you don't think you were talking into the vapor, I had read your bug report and had tried out on my system and not been able to reproduce. I was going to downgrade to the revision you were on and attempt again next week, but it looks like you've got resolution now.
