Description Dave 2011-03-19 12:13:54 UTC
Certain folders of albums of MP3s that are extracted from archives are skipped in the scanning process. There is no error message in the log. The folder is not even visible in the Browse folders function.

A lot of music is distributed with a .ZIP archive these days. Users simply extract the folders in these archives. They do not create them anew. I'm not sure if this missed folder phenomenon happens all the time with extracted folders or not. But it happens often enough to be an annoyance.

A workaround is to manually create a new folder and move the MP3s into it. But since I receive a lot of music from PR firms who distribute the music of their clients in this container, it would be nice to streamline the process of unpackaging and not require me to manually create folders for albums.

check permissions on that folder. Some archives come with permissions stored in them which can cause this. Not a SB issue.
