Description Fred Hirschler 2011-03-01 15:30:39 UTC
I have two Logitech Squeezebox radios. They were working fine with various internet stations in the U.S. and Europe with no interruptions the last 6 months of 2010. In the past two months I have been having problems receiving some stations and reported this matter to Logitech Squeezebox. However, I can receive the same stations on my computer using Radiotime without any problem.

Logitech tested those stations on their own radios and confirmed that they encountered the same problems. After emailing Radiotime support and receiving no response, I went back to Trevor Featherby, Logitech Tech. Support Manager. He recommended that I contact you for help.

My problems on both my Squeezebox radios involve the following stations:

- MR-3 Bartok Radio (105.3), Budapest, Hungary: Program plays about 10-20 seconds, then breaks off for 5 seconds for re-buffering, and resumes playing. This pattern is repeated consistently.

- KUSC, Los Angeles, CA: Program plays for as long as 2-3 hours, then stops and does not resume playing. I then switch to another station, switch right back to KUSC, and It resumes playing as before. This is a consistent pattern.

- WKCP, Miami, FL: same as KUSC above.

My other favorite stations (about 20) play correctly on my Squeezebox radios.

Can you help? Thanks.

If FW version refers to firmware, I don't know the answer. If this refers to the latest Logitech Squeezebox update, it version 7.5.3 r9283.

About a month after reporting the bug, my radio showed minor improvements in performance. In April, the worst-affected station (Bartok Radio, Budapest) managed to play well for some two hours before interruption. Previously transmission would break once a minute for 20 seconds of "re-buffering". Then, in late April on early May transmission became normal, and all of my problem stations are now functioning perfectly.

Many thanks to the engineer/s who repaired the malfunction!
