Description Richard George 2011-02-20 12:14:32 UTC
When the Music Folder set for the library contains shortcut(s) to other folder(s), if a "look for new and changed music" scan is initiated the scanner will loop on completion of the scan and begin again, ad infinitum.

A restart of SBS does not stop the scanning, only clearing the cache.

Removing the shortcut(s) cures the problem.

Unable to reproduce.
Changed to different shortcuts to local media and media on a removable drive

"look for new and changed music"- no problem
"clear library and rescan"- No problem

Verified new artists from shortcuts show up in SBS artist list and can play the music.
