Bugzilla – Bug 1691
Slooooow; uninstall?
Last modified: 2005-06-19 11:30:50 UTC
Slimserver slows down my computer CONSIDERABLY, maxing out my CPU so I have to kill the 'perl' process. Also, how the heck do you uninstall this software? I've seen others posting with the same concerns, but so far...no answers to be found anywhere. My machine: Powerbook G4, Mac OS 10.3.8
SlimServer will use significant amounts of CPU while scanning your music library (or while updating changes from iTunes), but should return to low usage when complete. You can stop SlimServer from the SlimServer panel in System Preferences. Uninstall SlimServer by dragging the icon from Library -> PreferencePanes -> SlimServer to the trash.
