Description Ryan 2011-01-31 10:26:23 UTC
This was reported from a call incident

I am having trouble playing back MP3 files in directories that contain cyrillic characters. The funny thing is that it does not depend on the file itself, but does depend on the directory names/structure. Some work, some don't, and it seems unrelated to the character set used (I shortened it to one letter that is used in a 'good' folder and it still wouldn't play. For example, any file in this directory would play
D:\MUSIC-DIGITAL\Карлсон1\Карлсон 6
But none from the parent directory:
D:\MUSIC-DIGITAL\Карлсон1
or D:\MUSIC-DIGITAL\Сказки\Карлсон
I use Music Folder navigation

Tried below with Windows 7, US English and US keyboard:

D:\Music\Карлсон1
and D:\Music\Сказки\Карлсон

but was unable to repro. Able to play MP3 tracks from both folders by navigating via "Music Folder". MP3 tracks were Taylor Swift MP3, so definitely no Cyrillic in titles.

Will get Cyrillic MP3 tracks to check again.
