Description Julius Friede 2004-01-27 07:51:42 UTC
When attempting to synch my S3 to a SB with the remote (Slim Devices), it takes multiple attempts
to engage. The S3 display refreshes and the SB output stops, but the S3 still asks to press the right
arrow key to synch. The SB does not resume playing until synch is actualy engaged. This situation
does not occur if attempted via the web interface, nor does it occur when attempting to synch the
SB to the S3. This has been the case since I first got the SB. I am using the 1/26 build, updated
firmware, OSX 10.3.2.

Which remote are you using with the SLIMP3?
Comment 2 KDF 2004-01-28 19:05:13 UTC
I am unable to reproduce this on Linux, wireless SB, wired S3. SB playing, I
can sync up without issue by using the slim devices remote on the S3. Sometimes
they can be off timing by a second or so, but I do not need multiple attempts
to initiate the sync.
Comment 3 Julius Friede 2004-01-28 22:03:01 UTC
I am using a Slim Devices remote, not JVC or Sony. FWIW, I am on OSX 10.3.2, G4AGP/1GHz
Powerlogix upgrade, 512 MB ram. My SB is wired, the S3 is wireless.

Has this been improved at all? I've still been unable to reproduce, myself.
The worse I have ever had is a slip in timing when joining an already playing
group. I've never had it not join.
Comment 5 Julius Friede 2004-05-07 06:09:06 UTC
For me, the only problem I have is synching a Slimp3 to a SB. It does sync, but it takes multiple
attempts for the two players to engage. Syncing between two SB's is no problem whatsoever. Neither is
syncing two S3's or a SB to a S3, only a S3 to a SB.

I've added Baron's comments here because 793's report seems to be two distinct
issues, the first of which matches up better with this report.

Comment 7 Blackketter Dean 2005-03-28 08:44:03 UTC
Julius, is this still an issue?
Comment 8 Julius Friede 2005-03-28 11:58:45 UTC
It is fixed. Thanks.
