Description Joerg Schwieder 2010-12-30 17:57:50 UTC
In SBS 7.6 Albumartists and Conductors are shown among the list of "Artists" when this is queried through the CLI/SqueezePlay.

But these entries don't work, in some cases if you try to query the list of albums for a conductor it won't work, in some cases you get albums but no content if you try to open the album.

The behavior is the same in SqueezePlay and iPeng so I believe it has to do with the underlying database queries.

There have been some changes in this area to improve the consistency. Do you still see this problem?

Is this in trunk or onebrowser.

On my main server (Ubuntu 8.04, trunk, nightly build from a few days ago, r32390), it looks better now (the composers don't seem to be in the list anymore) but I'm still seeing a number of artists that don't work.

All of them seem to be artists which have punctuation characters in the name, so this is probably a different issue.
Examples:
DJ's @ Work
BOOMTOWN RATS, THE

They don't work in all interfaces.
I do have other artists where similar punctuation characters work fine, though.

I think we can consider this fixed in 7.9.

Oh, this particular bug was probably already fixed in 7.7 or the release version of 7.6 :)
It was about all artist roles showing up in the main artist list (like in "arr artists" in 7.9) but not being available for browsing in lower level menus then...
