Description Shannon 2010-11-10 03:28:29 UTC
It would be nice to be able to use the Boom as a set of speakers without them being connected to either a Squeezebox Server or mysqueezebox.com, since they sound so good.

An issue I have found with this is that without a connection to either of these, the line-in is stuck at default (50, I believe), without the ability to change this.

I'd like to use the Boom with my iPod (a common enough scenario, I'm sure), which sounds great with the line input at 100 when the Boom is on the network and the line-in level is adjustable, but with no network, I can't change the input level from the default of 50.

Is it possible to implement a line-input level control for when the device is not able to be connected to a network?

at least one other user sees this need also:
