I don't like to pause in the middle of a track. When I need to take a break, I usually pause when the track is just ended (shows -0:00 as the remaining time).  When I come back and try to resume playing (one of several ways: pressing the hardware pause / play buttons on the Radio or Remote OR clicking on the Play button in Squeezeplay for Mac or clicking on Play in iPeng) nothing hapens. On the Squeezeplay app / Touch / Radio, it shows that it has started playing, but nothing happens.

The expected behavior is to start playing the next track. Even though this might be seen as a corner case, but it is pretty basic functionality. This is how a regular CD player or any portable player works.
