Sometimes the Controller will play through my headphones, sometimes not at all. I've been trying for the last hour to get the sound to come through the headphones instead of the internal speaker, but it will not, despite restarts and jerking the plug in and out.

I'm running controller with Firmware: 7.6.1-r9482 and this problem is present, whereas earlier version it wasn't.

The Headphone Switcher applet from forum works even though it's only tested up to 7.5.

It'd be nice if this was fixed once and for all.

I understand that some people would really like to see some work here but it is pretty much guaranteed that it is not going to happen.

Despite the presence of a headphone jack, and some discussion during the beta period of having audio available that way, it turns out that this has a heap of problems and these are simply not going to be fixed. It is one of those (rare) beta features that never made it to product release.

If it works sufficiently well for you then great. Otherwise I am afraid that you are out of luck.
