SqueezePlay (desktop version) won't let Mac sleep
Last modified: 2012-08-15 12:42:32 UTC
When I'm running SqueezePlay on my desktop, even if it's 'turned off', not only will my Mac not sleep, the display will not sleep; when it is not running, with all other conditions identical, the Mac will sleep/display sleep according to energy saver preferences normally. I'm using server 7.5.1 - r30836. I've tried several Squeezeplay releases, including the most recent 7.5.1r9183 and 7.6.0r919. My Mac is a Mini 3.1 (late 2009) running OS X 10.6.4. I have only found two other mentions of this issue: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70230 http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63148
I have this same issue on a MacMini running Snow Leopard and a Macbook Pro running Lion (10.7.4). For both, the computers will not display the screen saver or sleep if SqueezePlay is open. This occurs whether SqueezePlay is 'playing' or not. I've tried many version of SqueezePlay, but have confirmed it's still an issue on the latest 7.7.2r9599
Also an issue for me. I am using Mountain Lion, but also before Lion I had the same issue.
