To reproduce:

Settings -> Image Viewer -> Image Viewer Settings -> Source specific settings
Realize it's a URL and try to exit this screen.
The 't' on the end of the URL is deleted.  User may not know what the letter was and be unable to fix it.

Suggestions:
Have the screensaver applet check the URL is valid before saving any changes.
Make it easier to go back from a text input screen (probably hard)

There's a well known UI issue with text input on Radio and Controller. That is that when you are on the text input screen, the back arrow is re-purposed for deleting characters, rather than for leaving the window.

This bug is a WONTFIX, because there's no sane way of treating the UI for this case on that platform. Back arrow needs to be for delete on these screens.

The first of Andy's suggestions, checking the URL is valid, would be a possibility for this as a specific bug fix, but I don't see it ever getting priority for inclusion in the firmware.
