I think I found an issue on SN when the player connecting to SN has a corrupt MAC address (i.e. 00:04:20:FF:FF:01) and has not yet been assigned to an account. In this case the message about the corrupted MAC address is pushed away by the message about creating an account.

If from the 'create message' account I go left I can see the 'MAC issue message' and I am locked at this message as it should be.

The corrupt MAC message is: "Problem: Your player needs to have its MAC address reset. Please visit www.mysb.com/support for assistance."

This was seen on ip3k players.

Not sure how relevant that still is, but I guess it could lead to people having trouble after creating an account.
