Description Kris Murphy 2010-09-08 17:26:16 UTC
Firmware r9009

Steps to repro:

1. Set alarm on Baby
2. Power off Baby (this step is optional)
3. Wait for alarm to sound
4. Press POWER button to stop alarm
Expected: From a user perspective it is intuitive that pressing the POWER button when the alarm is sounding should terminate the alarm

Actual: Pressing the POWER button during the alarm event results in the alarm sounding again when the clock reaches the next minute.

It doesn't seem to matter if the unit is on or off when the alarm event occurs, or what "sound" the alarm is set to. Also this only happens once. Meaning if the POWER button is pressed again when the alarm sounds the second time it does indeed terminate the alarm.

Jeremy Bruck gets credit for this one! :)

I have not tried this on other devices with power buttons.

Apparently this defect isn't exactly what I thought it was. If the alarm is allowed to continue sounding without intervention from the user, it seems as if the alarm event occurs again a minute later (there is a brief pause in the alarm tone to indicate that it seems to be activating again), and then a minute after that it stops.
