From time to time the scanner crashes when launched manually from the control panel (not the web interface). A dump is produced and sent to Microsoft each time. The issue is not considered severe as on a subsequent rerun shortly afterwards the scan (scanner.exe) runs successfully to completion. The scanner is tasked to look as new/changed rather than a whole database refresh and the music library has circa 32,000 mostly mp3 files.
