Description Michael Herger 2010-08-19 00:32:21 UTC
Updated my Radio's firmware to 7.6/r9037 while it was running on battery. After the reboot the front panel was partially unusable: volume and navigation knob didn't work, nor did press&hold power. Home, play, back otoh did work fine. Plus the battery icon at the bottom didn't show up.

When I plugged the power back in I heard a couple (>3) of battery charging event signals, the battery icon showed up, and the front panel returned to normal functionality.

Same with me since yesterdays nightly.
Factory reset didn't help.
Removing the battery pack obiously helped - after "reinstalling" the battery, navigation knob and volume unusuable again. Nearly same with Touch since 4 weeks.

Same problem with my new Radio

Version: 7.6.0 - r31319

Player Model: Squeezebox Radio
Firmware: 7.6.0-r9037

Removed battery, powered up via mains and all OK after re-connecting battery.

(In reply to comment #5)
Simply plugging it into mains restored functionality

I've experienced the same thing today on 9037 when I wanted to restore default settings with no power supply plugged in. It got stuck (i.e. know wasn't working) on the first screen (language selection) but it started to work when I plugged the PS in.
