Bugzilla – Bug 16470
Samba not starting up due to stale PID file
Last modified: 2019-01-25 10:35:27 UTC
From the forums: I had a similar issue with a stale PID file preventing smbd start-up. It happend while running some file access tests and I was assuming I had crashed smnd in a very weired configuration. But it looks like there are other fellows, too. It looks like SqueezeOS doesn't clean up PID files during boot. Or does it ? Maybe it's necessary to add some clean up to the boot process.
