the built in wireless of the touch is very placement sensitive. In my configuration, where there is plenty of wood (plywood system rack) the wireless is almost not working at all and to get a reliable connection I have now switched to wired Ethernet.
maybe a pig-tail antenna could help.

I can't imagine this ever being fixed.  It's been a problem with all Squeezeboxes since the SB3 adopted internal antennas purely for aesthetic reasons.
