touch is running latest firmware as of 2010-07-23

I have connected the touch to an external power off/on device, so the touch is un-powered when not in use.
after switching on the main power to the touch the main menu consists of two items only and remains like this. only power off using the touch screen and power on using the touch screen 'fills' the menu and make the touch 'usable'.
