Hi,

I noticed an update, I applied the update but it didnt run, task bar icon popup kept changing from starting to running, vanished eventually.

Web page wouldnt load throughout the period, squeezeboxes couldnt see server.

I eventually tried to deinstall, the de-installer didnt work properly with it doing a hard reset of my pc at one point.

Tried again to de-install, worked although I had to force quit the installer.
Tried to reinstall from a fresh download, same again, didnt work, had to force quit the installer.

Went to the most recent nightly which installed cleanly and is now running fine.

Most likely this is a dupe of a long standing issue with the installer seemingly freezing when checking permissions on the cache folder. Please be patient and don't kill it. Depending on your collection size this step can take several minutes to finish with no progress displayed at all.

There's another bug report for this I can't find right now. But the issue will most likely be fixed with 7.6.
