Description Andrew Speakman 2010-06-22 01:07:42 UTC
After ugrading to 7.5.1 and 8837 firmware, Napster streaming stops after about 5 minutes on my SB Radio. Afterwards there is a blue icon - indicating no server connection - and the SB radio is not visible on the network (SSH login fails, network diagnostics shows 'cant ping' and 'cant connect' messages). SB Radio has to be rebooted to work again.

This happens when connected to either mysqueezebox.com or my local Squeezebox server.

I have a Squeezebox which is unaffected by this problem and happily uses the 7.5.1 server and the Napster service.

Just to add a bit more detail - this bug does not seem to apply to Napster radio streams - but any other tracks selected manually from Napster for playing on my SB Radio crash (blue icon) after about 3-5 minutes playing time.

This bug seems to have resolved itself after installing the recently released firmware update (r9009) on the Squeezebox Radio

I spoke too soon. The r9009 firmware upgrade has improved the situation in that the SB Radio is semi-useable rather than useless. It now plays Napster tracks continually for approx 30 minutes - but the end result is then the same -> a blue wireless icon and I have to reboot the SB Radio.

RIP Napster
