Description Tore Johnsson 2005-06-04 07:43:07 UTC
I have a Bose Lifestyle Music Center activ and analog (not digital). Line
inputs (Tape, AUX, Video sound) 150 mV maximum

SB2 is connected to Meridian DAC203 from SPDIF through a coax cable connected
to BL Video. The internal DAC is running from SB2 analog RCA to BL AUX

I also have a SB1 which is connected to anothere amplier and speakers runs
unwired using Micromega DUo BS52 DAC both SB1 and SB2 is connected in the same
manner

Both SB1 and SB" is connected to same computer server.

Now to the problem:
I just found out in player settings for SB2 wired that

Player Settings - Menus - Home Menu

that when i move up or down or more items
1) several of them changes places simultanously and not where I want them to be.
2) I cant have the different internetplugins directly under Now playing which
I can have i SB1 playersettings.

Will be this possible to have them in the order I want to have like it is for
SB1?

Kind Regards
Tore Johnsson

There should be no difference in behaviour for the Home menu for any connected
player. I dont really understand how you could be getting the menu you want for
SB1 and not for SB2 with the same version of the server. Are you able to
provide screenshots of the home menu setting page, for before and after you move
an item?

I was able to reproduce the problem as soon as I had added some plugin - not
sure if it's also occuring without the plugins. I simply added two plugins to
the main menu list (eg. Biography and AlbumReview). I then wanted to move them
up above the "Now playing". After the first plugin got there I tried the second
- and they swapped places instead of just moving up the second one.

Just add one or two plugins and try to get them to the top of the list. I'm
pretty sure it won't work.

I'll try to figure out some more details tomorrow.

I should like to have the plugins directly for Shoutcast, Live365, RadioIo Is
this not possible?
It went good in the earlier versions.

Kind Regards

They do work for me (6.1 trunk). But the moving up/down is buggy. I'll (try to)
have a look at this tomorrow.
Comment 11 Michael Herger 2005-06-05 12:47:40 UTC
Ooops... I just added/removed Shoutcast - and didn't see RadioIO any more in the
list. But if I first add RadioIO I still can add Shoutcast. Seems to be yet
another bug.

I think this isn't a problem with the sorting routine, but with changes in the page caching code. I
encountered a similar behaviour with other settings that seemed to be reset after every change. I then
noticed that my browsers were not displaying the page that had been created: the copy of the generated
HTML code I dumped to the console was different than the one displayed...

The only browser that does seem to be working fine is IE6. I tested with IE6, Firefox, Opera and Konqueror
(on Linux).

I have the latest IE6.0.2800 swedish

I am observing strange behavior using Firefox 1.04 on WinXP.
For instance, to get correct album count display after adding album (and do a
rescan), I have to manually delete the browser cache. This works correctly with IE6.

Dan just checked in a fix for this problem (change 3367). Please give the 2005-06-10 nightly a try.

This bug was marked resolved in Slimserver 6.1, which is several versions ago. If you're still seeing this bug, please re-open it. Thanks!
