Description lindnergrld 2010-06-18 11:09:16 UTC
Line-in gain is much too low, e.g. when connecting an mp3-player via its headphone jack.

I tried it with an iPod touch 2nd generation, and even when I turned its volume and that of the Radio to 100%, the resulting volume was only about 50% of the 'normal' maximum volume (wireless streaming of internet radio or music library).

Boom owners report that there is a preference setting for the Boom, either at Squeezebox Server (Settings > Player > Line in volume; default 50%) or at the Boom itself (Settings > Audio > Line in level). I could not find any similar setting for the Radio.

I have the latest software installed (Server and Radio).

Also (as of v7.5.1-r9218), Radio is missing the mixing feature (line-in with internal player) the Boom has.

If it's not a hardware limitation please consider it in a future firmware.
