Especially when playlists are generated from choosing genres or artists where
files are frequently tagged with multiple instances of each, that playlist may
very likely contain duplicate entries for the same file(s).  A model for this
feature is in Winamp, which has a command on its Playlists menu to remove
duplicate file references from a playlist.
