Bugzilla – Bug 16280
Ambient light sensor: Max value instead of 0 LUX at night
Last modified: 2011-05-16 16:00:13 UTC
Scenario: In some case, when ambient light reach 0 LUX (at night) If you check LUX values in SB menu/factory tests you can see: LUX: going down progressively to 0 then get Max value (16bits) Then, at night, the screen light becomes maximum instead of minimum. After changing some settings (gain, factor, delay, ...) the good behaviour is back, LUX detected is 0. So I guess a SW issue.

some more details (firmware just updated, restarted): The case it works: - channel 0: 0 - channel 1: 0 - lux: 0 The case it does not work: - channel 0: 0 - channel 1: 1 - lux: 65529
I can reproduce the error as well. Very annoying!
I am looking into this.
== Auto-comment from SVN commit #8852 to the jive repo by fmueller == == http://svn.slimdevices.com/jive?view=revision&revision=8852 == Bug: 16280 Description: Fix ambient light calculation for channel0 = 0 and channel1 > 0 to report lux = 0.
I tested the feature successfully with the last FW (8852) Bug corrected (and validated ?) on my SBTouch Thanks ...
Thanks for testing.
This problem still exists with the latest fw 7.5.1-r9009. When it gets completely dark in the room, the brightness starts to fluctuate.

Verified on 7.6.32419 with Touch Fw 9441 Lux goes to zero when chanel 1 and 0 are at zero
