Description Chris Rich 2005-05-28 21:52:28 UTC
Running the 6.1 nightly from 27/5 and 28/5 - on the default skin, the power
button/display for SBs (both real and softsqueeze) shows permanently 'off'.
If the player is 'off' - clicking 'on' will turn player 'on', but web i/f
display remains 'off'. If player is 'off' - refreshing browser will turn
player 'on', but web i/f display remains 'off'.

Server OS is Win 2000 Sp4, glitch affects the local server display
(slimserver.exe) and a remote web client on Win XP SP2 (Internet Explorer
6.0.29)

- forgot to mention that fishbone skin appears to work OK.

Same behaviour on 7th June Win 2000 nightly. Also tried Firefox on the XP
machine with no difference.

oddly if you insert [% mode %] into status_header.html near where the code is
for the power links, it works just fine. however, you also get the text showing
the current mode :)

not sure why this has an effect. the code is virtually the same in the Fishbone
skin, which works.

Trying this with 22/6 nightly, it seems to be behaving fine with regard to
softsqueeze and firefox. anyone able to confirm?
Comment 5 Chris Rich 2005-06-22 13:36:36 UTC
Have checked 22/6 windows nightly running on Win 2000 machine as slimserver.
Default skin behaviour now OK on Win 2000 (slim.exe command window), and Win
XP2 client machine running both IE6 or Firefox as browser to slimserver -
controlling a real SB2 and Softsqueeze clients.

No problems on the XP machine, but a non fatal browser error displayed on the
Win 2000 slim.exe interface (IE6.0.2800.1106) when clicking on power 'on'
button.

Error details are:

Line 223
Char 2
Error 'parent.playlist.location' is null or not an object
Code 0
URL: http://localhost:9000/status_header.html?player=... (player string varies
depending on player being used)

The browser warning is a little concerning, but the main problem seems to be fixed.

This bug was marked resolved in Slimserver 6.1, which is several versions ago. If you're still seeing this bug, please re-open it. Thanks!
