Description Adam Deacock 2010-05-12 05:56:26 UTC
I have had several instances where the touch turns itself off and reboots when i try to play hi res 24 bit flac. This occurs in standalone mode when playing from usb drive and running tiny sc. The sudden turning off of power then upsets the usb drive further.
This is obviously more severe than the stuttering issue reported elsewhere

[As an aside I wonder whether it might be related to the following transporter issue...

https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15693]

I have had the problem using Ipeng but also when controlling manually

what kind of flac ? are they 2ch or 5.1ch, 5.1 flacs is known to crash any squeezebox player.

Note that 96k will be the maximum sample rate Touch can not do 192kHz stand alone

A workaround, have you tried to re-encode them at a lower compression rate -0 or -5 instead of -8 .
