Ref #100508-000492 5/07/2010

I went into settings-display-screen saver and set it to display date and time when off.  It will only display the time.  I set it to display date and time while playing and that does display date and time.  I downloaded the firmware again, but that did not work.  Resetting to the factory defaults did not work either.

Your title says only date is displayed, but your comment says only time.  Assuming you meant the latter, this is normal.  When Settings->Player->Display-Font is set to full, only the time is displayed.  You can change this either via the webUI or the "size" button on a remote that has that button.
