Description Toby 2010-04-24 03:00:09 UTC
Save a Slacker or Pandora stream to TinySC > Favorites.
Shows as saved, but will not Play.

Note: Same saved Music Services saved to Favorites on full SBS or MySB play back fine.

I can confirm this. Also, can't delete a favorite as if I Press and hold the item until the context menu pops up, there is no option to delete (s/b: "At the bottom of the context menu, select Delete Favorite")

As a work-around. First add to a Playlist, then under the playlist options (+), select Add to Favorite
Comment 3 Tony 2010-06-19 07:34:20 UTC
Here's the problem. A music service (i.e. Slacker, Pandora, etc) is being saved in favorites.opml as type="link" when it should be type="audio".

If I change
<outline URL="slacker://stations/XXXX/XXXX.mp3"
 icon="plugins/Slacker/html/images/icon.png" text="Tony on Slacker Radio" type="link" />
to:
<outline URL="slacker://stations/XXXX/XXXX.mp3"
 icon="plugins/Slacker/html/images/icon.png" text="Tony on Slacker Radio" type="audio" />

the station will play.

btw, this is on squeezebox server 7.5.1 as well as on TinySC

Ben,

This is an old bug, with a very simple fix (I just found the fix today)
All that needs to be done for a Music Service is to change type="link" to type="audio"
This bug came about with 7.5.

Tony - do you see the same issue with the regular SBS 7.5.x?

scratch my last question...

Michael, not sure if this is a related or separate bug, but with 7.5.1 if I navigate to a music service and hit add (+) and select Playy Next (or add to end), and then go to the Playlist and highlight the music service (i.e. Slacker) and press add (+), a blank window pops up (used to be able to select options such as 'remove from playlist).

Ben you mentioned you fixed this issue?

Sorry, I have no recollection at all of this bug. The one comment I put in here is also bizarre, appearing to just be a cut/paste of what was maybe a direct email to me from Tony?

Bug is still there, but different than with 7.5.1
With 7.6.1:
If I:
 1) navigate to a music steam from Slacker and hit add (+) and select Play Next
 2) go to the Playlist and highlight the music stream just added
 3) press add (+)
 4) Now a window pop's up with the message "Cannot request Non-HTTP-URL"

So, no way to just remove the Stream (i.e. a Slacker Station) from the playlist, must clear the playlist.

But note that the original bug was fixed (playing a stored Favorite from music service)
Comment 13 Toby 2011-09-19 09:08:25 UTC
As far as the original basic bug it is still not working.
Slacker = does play but no art
Pandora = does not play at all (error: unable to play next track, press Play)
but it still won't play.

TinySC will not be updated any more.
