particular FLAC file causes SB2 display to get corrupted and sometimes overwrite nvram
Last modified: 2008-12-18 11:37:19 UTC
confirmed with FW 11. will try 13.
can't attach the file, it's too large.
Could you put it up for me somewhere and either post the link or send me mail if it's temporary? Thanks.
confirmed that this is an issue with fw 13. will also put the file on my linux machine at home.
it's now up at: http://it.was.a.most.elusivefish.org/flac.tar
just got this to overwrite nvram obliterating settings and changing my MAC to ff:e8:84:ff:ff:de
There are FLAC errors trying to decompress on the desktop: 03 - Sol Central- El Avatar.flac: *** Got error code 0:FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_ERROR_STATUS_LOST_SYNC 03 - Sol Central- El Avatar.flac: *** Got error code 0:FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_ERROR_STATUS_LOST_SYNC 03 - Sol Central- El Avatar.flac: *** Got error code 1:FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_ERROR_STATUS_BAD_HEADER 03 - Sol Central- El Avatar.flac: *** Got error code 0:FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_ERROR_STATUS_LOST_SYNC 03 - Sol Central- El Avatar.flac: ERROR while decoding data state = FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_READ_FRAME Of course, we should be able to deal with these more gracfully in the SB2.
Created attachment 625 [details] firmware fix Well, I've got a firmware fix that prevents the crash. I'm at little wary of the fix also cutting short legitimate streams, so I'm not quite ready to push it out. Attaching firmware image for anyone who would like to test it out.
Checked in the firmware fix as change 3718.
This bug was marked resolved in Slimserver 6.1, which is several versions ago. If you're still seeing this bug, please re-open it. Thanks!
