Description Daniel Barrett 2010-04-17 11:59:24 UTC
When I install 7.5.0 (and also 7.4.x), the Menu preferences on all my Classic and Boom players gets overwritten by your defaults. This is VERY FRUSTRATING and makes me not want to upgrade the server anymore.

My Menu preferences were:

Now Playing
Search
Music Library
Internet Radio
My Apps
Favorites
Extras
Alarm Clock
Settings

After installation, they are:

Now Playing
Music Library
Internet Radio
My Apps
App Gallery
Favorites
Search
Extras
Settings
mysqueezebox.com

Now I have to go to Player / Menu settings for every single player and manually fix the menus, which is a very slow and tedious process.

Actually, this time around (7.5.0), it happened only on one player instead of all of them. It's a Classic with firmware 130.

The installer doesn't touch the prefs file at all. I'm often running the installer several times a day during development.

Please make sure your SN prefs syncing is set up properly.

>Please make sure your SN prefs syncing is set up properly.

In my local SqueezeServer Settings, I checked the "mysqueezebox.com" tab. It correctly lists my email address. Password appears blank. Under "mysqueezebox integration", it says, "Enabled, keep player settings in sync." I don't see any way here to verify that my password is present (internally) though.

However, when I log into mysqueezebox.com (which, incidentally, I haven't done in years) and look at my players, the menu preferences are definitely all wrong.

Question: If I enter my password in the mysqueezebox.com tab of the server settings, which of the following will happen:

(1) MySqueezebox.com settings will overwrite my local server settings (bad)
(2) My local server settings will get uploaded to MySqueezebox.com

Thanks.

Oh yeah.. on mysqueezebox.com/player/viewPlayers, all the players say:
