Description copperstate 2010-04-16 10:11:33 UTC
In SBS 7.5.1-30611 the scanner is no longer working (log included). If I start scanning it seems to go through the first phase (discover files?) then simply stops with an error message.

I am using MacOS X 10.6.3 with iTunes 9.1 on an Mac Mini (Intel Core Duo 1.66GHz).

Anything in scanner.log?
Comment 3 copperstate 2010-04-16 11:44:00 UTC
There is no scanner.log (unfortunately). The exact error message I get after a "clean lib and rescan everything" is: "Music scan terminated unexpectedly (Directory Scan)". It also seems to stop at a different file every time.

I do have a perl crash log that I could email you for internal use.

Server.log file from run with scanner failure.

I am also seeing errors in the server log, so not sure if they are at all related to the scanner problem, but wanted to attach them as well in case it's of any help.

I also updated to Version: 7.5.1 - r30657 under Windows Server 2008, and the scanner is now working fine. So without a doubt, it was some issue specific to the prior build, which I am happy to see is corrected..
